Other brands claim to have comfortable soles, but they don't come anywhere near these. One example is Samuel Hubbard. Their soles *look* like these from Maratown, but they're nothing like them. The Hubbard soles are very stiff, and the shoes just aren't comfortable to me. I've only tried them on in the store, so they may get softer over time, but I don't know. These Maratown soles, however, feel absolutely wonderful right out of the box. And the leather is simply on another level of softness.

These shoes are wonderfully comfortable. I'm a runner and was looking for shoes I could wear to work that would have great cushioning on the day after my long runs. These fit the bill fantastically. They're soft, comfortable, and made of great materials. I recommend checking with the (helpful) staff on sizing - they recommended a size smaller than I usually take, but they fit great and have stretched out nicely.
